July + August Recap

Hi all.ways supporters!

Riding with all.ways is about more than racing. It’s about showing up, sharing the ride, and building community. This summer has been full of breakthroughs on the race course, joyful group rides, and moments that remind us why we do this: to make cycling more inclusive, more connected, and more fun.

We’re proud to celebrate the successes of our teammates and the events that bring our community together. And just as importantly, we’re standing up for the values that guide us because cycling has space for everyone.

🌈 We stand with trans women in sport

The recent decision from USA Cycling (USAC) to ban trans women from racing in the women’s field is deeply upsetting. This ruling, stemming from the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and trickling down through National Governing Bodies, directly undermines the principles of inclusion and equality in sport.

Our team was founded to increase accessibility and diversity in cycling. There is space for everyone in all.ways—on our race team, in our club, and as part of our community.

We ask you to join us in standing with trans athletes. Contact USAC and urge them to revisit this decision. We’ve included a sample message + instructions here.

Green Mountain Stage Race

All.ways sent eight riders and four support crew teammates up to Vermont to take on the Country’s largest four-day stage race. The team competed in all four races including: the 5.7 mile time trial, a 34 mile circuit race, a 64 mile road race and the 35 min criterium race. They fought hard and we even had a few days where our team placed in the top ten!

🌟Community Events

This summer, all.ways kept the stoke high with events that brought riders together both on and off the bike:

Tour de Femmes: In partnership with Hilltop Williamsburg/Specialized, we celebrated women’s cycling with a full morning of festivities: cheering at the CRCA race, social laps in Central Park, and coffee + Tour de France Femmes viewing (with a side of cheering for our teammates running the Brooklyn Mile after their CRCA race!). Open to all, it was a true community celebration.

Intro Gravel Ride: Andy led a 51-mile, 4.5k ft climbing adventure that welcomed new riders to the joy (and challenge!) of gravel.

Good Guys 9W Night Ride: co-hosted by our race team, this spirited weeknight ride was equal parts fast and fun.

August for All(ways): We opened our weekly Tuesday & Friday team laps in both parks to the community for two weeks in August, to build on the cross-team and individual relationships that we made during June’s pride laps.

🔧 Off the bike

Tubeless Tire Demo: thanks to Andy Zolyak + Sam at Hilltop Williamsburg.

Bike Building Clinic: from tool basics to hydraulic brakes, Andy shared the know-how.

What’s Ahead?

  • 2026 recruitment and new member onboarding

  • Apple Cider Donut Ride on Saturday October 18th! (with rain date the 25th)
