April 2026 Newsletter
It’s been one of those stretches where fake spring keeps teasing…it’s still freezing more often than not and your toes go numb halfway through the ride yet everyone keeps showing up. If anything, it makes us even more excited for what’s ahead this season.
Although that groundhog did see his shadow, All.ways members gathered at TALEA in Williamsburg to celebrate the start of the 2026 season. We enjoyed some bites and brews, shared our goals for the year, and heard from our new leadership team on what we can expect for the season ahead.
Introducing our 2026 leadership
Each year, All.ways welcomes a new slate of members to lead the club. We’re excited to introduce our 2026 leadership team, a group of dedicated riders who are committed to delivering great group rides and learning opportunities, fundraising for the club, and expanding our role in the NYC cycling community.
We want to shout out the people who build All.ways from the ground up. Our subcommittees have been busy behind the scenes, dialing in kit, planning events, and finding new ways to make this team stronger and more connected. All.ways runs on people showing up for each other, and this group has been doing exactly that.
Racing updates
At the CRCA season opener, we had a full All.ways sweep (!!) in the Women’s Dev field. Julia DiSpirito, Julia Townsend, and McKenna Foster took 1, 2, and 3
At CRCA race #3, the team rode strong in frigid temps. Julia D attacked again and again until it stuck, taking the win. McKenna sprinted her way to third, Julia T right behind in fifth.
At the Cherry Blossom Challenge, McKenna and Katherine Powers held it down in a huge, chaotic field, placing fifth and eighth in the Cat 4/5 field.
We were also incredibly proud to cheer for two teammates in their first pro races! Leah Parker took 8th overall at Dallas Little Elm 70.3 (check our her Substack here)and Andy Zolyak raced in the first pro nonbinary start at Mid South!
Beyond racing
Thank you to Tracey and Kristen for hosting Randonneuring 101 and opening the door to a different kind of challenge for our teammates. Long-distance, self-supported riding that’s less about speed and more about persistence, curiosity, and camaraderie.
Rando season is already underway, and several All.ways riders completed the Ronde van White 200k, LI brevet, and Fahnestock 200k (hosted by Tracey!). Just the beginning of many long days in the saddle!
Off the bike
We’ve been learning and showing up for each other in other ways, too. From nutrition tips with Hummingbird Fuels (use our friends and family code for 15% off: AllWaysHBF15) to getting dialed in at bike fittings to cheering on Hannah Jeter as she took on OSR 30 around Manhattan, with Shannah Reagan riding alongside her as an elite-level bike escort.
Shoutout to the team at Hilltop Bicycles Williamsburg and A.M. Van Doren from Revolutions Per for hosting team night and a bikefitting workshop last night! We really appreciated the depth of knowledge from both, and left with a handful of practical tweaks and insights we can carry with us this season and beyond.
Riding together
A quick but meaningful thank you to the partners and sponsors who help make all of this possible. From racing costs to creating space for workshops, learning, and connection, your support shows up in real ways for this team. If you’d like to support All.ways as a partner or sponsor, please reach out to hi.allwayscc@gmail.com.
We’ve also made it easier than ever for members of our community (and beyond) to show their support for All.ways. As a 501(c)(3), our club accepts financial donations (and is eligible for company matching programs).
With thanks
We are excited to announce that we have added two new sponsors for our 2026 season: TLG, a global strategic communications and stakeholder engagement advisory firm, and Hecker Fink LLP, a litigation boutique. Both TLG and Hecker Fink have deep roots in supporting women’s sports, and we’re honored to have them on board as sponsors of our club and race team.
Looking ahead
There’s a lot coming. More races, more rides, more ways to show up for each other. Training camp in Colombia. Everesting in May. And a full season of shared miles ahead.
If you’re reading this as part of the team, thank you for everything you bring to it. If you’re here as a supporter, friend, or future teammate, we’re really glad you’re here too. This community only works because people keep choosing to be part of it.
We’re just getting started, and we’re really excited about where this season is headed.
