2027 Membership Requirements
Experience
all.ways was founded in 2020 and is today NYC’s largest non-profit women’s, trans, femme, non-binary (wtfnb) cycling team. Our community strives for inclusivity and belonging. We celebrate our members’ unique journeys and diverse goals. We are committed to supporting members with access to resources including financial aid, empowering them in their cycling pursuits. We create meaningful sponsor partnerships by prioritizing human connections to brands and individuals who share and promote our values. Above all, we ride to have fun and to spread our love for cycling. We hope you are inspired to join us on this exhilarating journey.
For all.ways members, cycling is generally a consistent part of their lives, and joining our club is a commitment to being an involved member of the great NYC cycling community. This means cycling regularly and generally maintaining an average pace of 16-18 mph during group laps in a paceline in Prospect Park or Central Park.
Attendance
We ask that you try to attend 1 or more events per month such as:
Team laps (in-season)
Team-organized weekend rides (in-season)
Coached training/skills sessions (in-season)
Organized cycling event or competition/race in team kit (in-season)
Off-bike team events (in-season and off-season)
Exceptions: During the season, if you cannot attend events due to an injury, pregnancy, relocation, equipment issues, or other circumstances, there are plenty of ways to be involved with all.ways and meet the requirements: event planning, social media management, sponsorship outreach, etc. We’re committed to finding ways to keep members involved if they are unable to bike for a period of time!
Membership Dues
Members are asked to pay an annual membership due (to be finalized for 2027; for reference, 2026 dues were $125). This will include one all.ways club jersey from Verge (our 2027 kit partner), as well as access to the all.ways community, Slack, events, exclusive club discounts, coached sessions, and more! We offer financial support waivers, which are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Racing
There are additional requirements and annual dues for race team members, including a minimum number of races to participate in each year to remain on the team. More info is shared with all.ways members after they join, but if you have questions/are interested in joining, talk to the race team members during recruitment!
Representing the Club
Members are expected to wear the team jersey when racing and/or participating in sanctioned cycling events and should abide by the rules of the road / safe riding practices when representing the club.
Safety
Members are required to sign a waiver and expected to ensure ride safety for the peloton and when attending group cycling events. When attending group rides, members are responsible for:
Changing a flat
Performing basic roadside bike maintenance
Navigation
Nutrition/fueling, especially during long rides
Engagement
We ask that members be engaged with all.ways throughout the year, both in attending rides and events and in our club’s Slack channel. This is the primary forum where you’ll get information about upcoming events, group rides, and, more generally, what people in the club are up to. It’s also a great place to share routes, ask questions, and plan things with other club members. We also use Instagram Close Friends to communicate with club members and, from time to time, send emails with updates.
